Visiting Hours
Family members and friends are welcome to visit. Patient care is our primary concern at Woodland Medical Center, and in order to enhance the quality of care, we ask that visitors not stay past 9:00 p.m. and not arrive before 7:00 a.m. The Family Place (Maternity Unit) has visiting hours between 8:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m. The Critical Care Unit's visiting hours are 8:00 a.m., 10:00 a.m., 12:00 Noon, 2:00 p.m., 4:00 p.m., 5:00 p.m., 7:00 p.m., and 8:00 p.m.

Due to patient privacy requirements, any information about the patient’s diagnosis or treatment must come directly from the patient to concerned family members or friends.  No information will be given out by the switchboard operator or nursing personnel. The patient may be reached by dialing (256) 739-3500 and asking for the patient by name.

Driving Directions
Woodland Medical Center is located 50 miles south of Huntsville and 40 miles north of Birmingham on Interstate 65. We can be found 2.9 miles east off Exit 304 on Highway 69 / Cherokee Avenue, SW directly across from Wal-Mart Supercenter.

From the North: (Huntsville) 
Take I-65 South to Exit 304. Exit left onto Hwy 69/Cherokee Avenue. Drive 2.9 miles.  Woodland Medical Center is located on the left across from Wal-Mart Supercenter. Should you choose, you may also reach us traveling south on Hwy 31.

From the South: (Hanceville, Birmingham) 
Take I-65 North to Exit 304. Exit right onto Hwy 69/Cherokee Avenue. Drive approximately 2.9 miles. Woodland Medical Center is located on the left across from Wal-Mart Supercenter. Should you choose, you may also reach us traveling north on Hwy 31.

From Hwy 31: 
Turn west at the red light on Cherokee Avenue, SW by Mitch Smith Chevrolet. Drive approximately 0.7 miles. Woodland Medical Center is located on the right across from Wal-Mart Supercenter.

Parking
Parking for patients and visitors is free and available in front of the hospital and by the Emergency Department. Parking is available 24-hours-a-day, 7-days-a-week.
