Anesthesia
Our Board Certified Anesthesia Team is highly experienced in trauma, vascular, pediatric, neurological, and obstetrical care, as well as other disciplines. We provide a complete spectrum of perioperative anesthesia care and pain management of the highest quality for the patients at Woodland Medical Center.

Heartburn Treatment Center
Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease (GERD) can be evaluated with a new procedure for measuring acid levels. Woodland is the only hospital in North Alabama and only one of two hospitals in the state that has the technology to perform this new, high-tech procedure. The procedure involves having a chip the size of a gelcap placed in the esophagus to measure the acid that causes heartburn. The advantage of this new procedure is more convenience and much less discomfort for the patient. It also provides more data than the current diagnosing method for use in prescribing therapies. Surgical Safari
Surgical Safari is for children of all ages and is a free service of Woodland Medical Center. This program was created because we recognize that the surgical experience can be intimidating and overwhelming for children, as well as their parents. We offer this exciting and fun-filled tour to ease some of your concerns and your child's anxieties about surgery.
