For 35 years, the people of Woodland Medical Center dedicated themselves to providing the highest quality of healthcare to the residents of Cullman County and the surrounding areas. Through our inviting atmosphere and dedication to patient care, Woodland earned a reputation as a great place to work and receive excellent patient care.
Over the years, we’ve looked closely at the needs of our community and concluded that Cullman County needs one strong hospital to care for local patients.
On July 15, 2009, Cullman Regional Medical Center (CRMC) finalized an agreement to purchase Woodland. As a result of this agreement, CRMC decided to cease operations at Woodland on July 15, no longer operating Woodland as a medical and surgical acute care hospital and consolidating certain operations to CRMC. CRMC is exploring the best future use of the Woodland campus. For more information about CRMC, visit www.crmchospital.com or call (256) 737-2000.
While Woodland will be greatly missed, its history and tradition of care lives on through the employees and physicians who will continue to serve patients in the region. Thanks to everyone for their dedication to and support of Woodland over the years.
